Mirror M1

Optical Quality:

  • lambda/4 (lambda = 632.8 nm)
  • scratch and dig: 20/10
  • micro roughness: 1.5 nm rms

Material: 30mm Glidcop bulk with Aluminum coating (mirror surface). No slots or x-ray absorbers, but water cooled per below.

The mirror borders and the vacuum chamber must present mutual RF contacts.

Preliminary water cooling scheme:
Water Temp: 298 K
Pipe Diameter: 6 mm
Water flux: 1 gpm

Water input into the central pipe, and output in the two lateral pipes.

Mirror distortion should be kept smaller than 0.5 microns (spatial) and 50 microns (angular).

Power Distribution on Mirror M1
Total power on mirror @ 800 MeV, 200 mA: 271 W. Maximum power density: 3.8 106 W/m2
