Quadrupole and Octupole windings must have independent power supplies. The ratio between quadrupolar and octupolar components can change among different operation modes of the ring. A solution with a completely independent octupolar magnet separate from the quadrupole can be investigated as well. In this case mechanical interferences with the other beamline components must be carefully checked.

Sextupole Magnets:

Quantity Value
Number of Magnets 30
Maximum (1/2 d2B/dx2) 390 T/m-2
Magnetic Length 15 cm
Radius at the Pole Tip 33 mm
Max Field @ Pole Tip 0.4 T
Good Field Region Radius 2 cm
Field Quality (dg2/g2) 0.5 %

Correctors Magnets:

Quantity Value
Number of Hor. Magnets 24
Number of Vert. Magnets 24
Hor. Maximum Strength 8 10-3 T m
Vert. Maximum Strength 8 10-3 T m
Total Aperture 66 mm
The horizontal and vertical correctors can be assembled together in a single hybrid element, in air or with a laminated iron body.
